Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Carpenter or Lead Carpenter, relocation costs to be paid. Depending on experience, the Carpenter may manage operations of a crew for light-frame wood building construction projects, including field supervision, rough carpentry/framing, finish carpentry, and miscelenous carpentry tasks on site.  The Carpenter will ensure quality workmanship conforming to project plans and specifications in coordination with Project Management.  Depending on experience, the Carpenter may serve as the crew lead for self-performing construction activities including:

  • Erection of commercial and residential wood building projects
  • Installing wall panels 
  • Placing building insulation as needed
  • Finish carpentry as needed
  • Rough carpentry 
  • Some light demolition
  • Maintains a clean and organized job site, including job site construction office

Qualifications

  • Lead Carpenter: 3+ years of experience in carpentry for building erection strongly preferred if crew lead.  Minimal experience necessary for entry Carpenters
  • Honest, trustworthy, and dependable
  • Ability to manage crews and some suppliers
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and leadership
  • Ability to receive direction and work with and without supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use, care, and safety of construction tools (tape measure, nail guns, saws, drills, levels, ect.) and equipment (scissor lift, forklifts, boom lifts, skid steer, etc.)
  • Experience reading and interpreting plans/blueprints
